Royal Alcázar of Seville (Real Alcázar de Sevilla), Andalusia (Andalucía), Spain – image depicts the patio area of the palace. The palace building, comprising of a series of archways which lead to various entrances to the palace, surrounds the patio in the shape of of an upside down letter “U”. The patio is located in the center of the upside “U” and comprises of two long rectangular lawns (perpendicular to the palace) separated by a pond of the same size. Each lawn has three trees, approximately 4-5 feet tall.
